Restaurant Review : The Central Kitchen
Delivery Kitchens around the city have suddenly popped up in huge numbers. Not only is it economical to the delivery kitchen owners, it is also a lot more reasonable & gives full value for money to all the customers. Add timely delivery, great quality, hygiene & some bang on taste to the food & you have a successful delivery kitchen rolling in piles of cash & loyal customers.
About a month back, I tried some great food from The Central Kitchen, a delivery kitchen offering North Indian, Mughlai & Chinese food based in Sion. Even though the food travelled all the way from Sion to Khar, it was hot by the time I received it. The packaging of the mains was neat & compact with labels on every dish & the roti’s & parathas were sealed pack so that they don’t dry out.
Getting down to the taste, a definitely must try place as the food is totally worth it. I tried the Murgh Malai Tikka in starters & trust me when I say I am not exaggerating but it has to be one of the best that I have tried from a local restaurant. The flavours, the spices used in the marination & the aroma of the malai tikka were spot on & cooked to perfection.
In mains, I tried the Chicken Tikka Masala & Dal Makhani along with Whole-Wheat Laccha Parathas. The Chicken Tikka Masala was a complete hit among all of us at home & even though the consistency of the dal makhana was perfect; when it came to taste, I have surely had better versions. The Laccha Parathas were quite thick from what I would usually prefer but they were yet on the softer side & not at all dry.
Very few delivery kitchens in the city end up matching up to all the pointers we consumers look for & thus they shut down in no time. However, I am happy to report that The Central Kitchen is definitely here to stay. Also, the fact they deliver all over the city with a minimal order price limit, makes them your go-to choice for your next indulgence.
